Monday dawned with grey skies and the promise of about an inch of rain. We decided against trying to pump out the excavation.
The rain fell off and on through the night. It was mostly done by breakfast, and I headed down to see that all "islands" had been submerged. The boards were floating. I stepped carefully down and had water almost crest my shoe top. Three inches deep means there's over 2000 gallons of water, waiting.
Phil changed the oil in the tractor, but mostly we're waiting. Read to the boys, do our work, enjoy life. And wait.
